9.5" x 12" Pastels on PastelMat. This painting took place at Fairchild Tropical Botanical Gardens in Miami. This was my first "en plein air" painting. What a difference it was painting directly from site, versus painting from a photograph. Yes, it was harder to concentrate due to all the surroundings, but one really appreciates the colors and movement of nature so much better. I will definitely try to do this more often, specially now that the weather here in Florida is so nice.Original painting is framed.
